Every child deserves to be understood. Every parent deserves to be supported.

For more than three decades, I’ve helped children and families find their voices — literally and figuratively. As a speech-language pathologist, professor, and communication coach, I’ve worked in schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and homes, supporting children with speech delays, autism, and complex communication needs. I’ve also taught graduate-level university courses in Nonverbal Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Interpersonal Communication, which shape how I guide families through meaningful, often challenging conversations. A central part of my work is supporting families in school team and IEP meetings. As a member of a Special Education Project Panel in Maryland, I help parents understand school systems, ask the right questions, and communicate with clarity and confidence so their child’s needs are truly heard. My approach is calm, informed, and relationship-centered — focused on collaboration, not conflict. I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to this work, having sat on both sides of the special education table as a professional, and a parent,. Through my coaching work, I provide personalized, practical support that helps families move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
